The Octopus that took over 10 Corso Como

During Milan Design Week 2026, Moncler's new Puffy Summer collection came to life through a monumental inflatable installation that turned the spaces of 10 Corso Como into an immersive experience.

An installation that talks to the architecture

Milan Design Week is where creativity and experimentation collide. For the launch of the Puffy Summer collection, Moncler chose to transform the spaces of 10 Corso Como into an experience that catches you off guard from the first glance.

A giant octopus seems to take over the building: tentacles emerge from the façade, cut through windows, weave between architectural elements, and stretch all the way to the inner courtyard, where the animal's monumental head dominates the scene from up on the terrace.

When the inflatable becomes a scenography

The installation doesn't just occupy the space - it interprets it.

Outside, the tentacles look like they're growing straight out of the building, creating an ongoing dialogue between architecture and installation. Inside the gallery, six inflatable elements rise up from the floor, guiding visitors toward the mannequins wearing the new collection.

At the back, the octopus's body turns into a large, immersive changing room, fully wrapped in a deep burgundy tone, creating an enveloping space that closes out the exhibition path.

Technique in the service of creativity

Behind the installation's visual impact sits some serious design, development, and production work. Every element was engineered to work with the spaces of 10 Corso Como, staying true to the creative concept while showcasing the new Moncler collection.

The project took shape as a monumental 6-meter-tall octopus head, flanked by ten inflatable tentacles up to 11 meters long, able to cut across façades, windows, and interior spaces.
Rounding out the setup, a 12-meter scenic wall built out a changing room that completed the immersive path.

Every component was made with a special silver fabric, chosen to bring out the volumes, reflections, and details, blending perfectly with the collection's aesthetic language.

From sketch to build

Every monumental installation starts life long before assembly.

In the NASO workshop, every element is designed, modeled, and custom-built. From the first prototypes to fabric printing, right through to stitching and inflation testing, our team checks every stage to make sure every detail matches the original design.

Before heading to Milan, every element is fully assembled and inflated in our workshop.

This is the moment the project finally takes shape: we check volumes, proportions, anchor points, and how the materials behave, so we can arrive on-site knowing every component works exactly as it should.

The build

Once on-site at 10 Corso Como, our technical crew handled the entire installation process.

There was just one goal: making every tentacle look like it naturally grew out of the building's architecture, blurring the line between construction and scenography into a single visual experience.
